Dissertation Demystified is a coaching company offered by The Polymath Research Consulting. This company offers assistance to PhD candidates on researching information and data to write dissertations in order to fulfill requirements for graduation. The client wanted both brands to look and feel like “academia”. They also wanted to incorporate DaVinci’s corkscrew into the Polymath logo so I did an aerial view design of the corkscrew. I even went with gold, tan, brown, and navy blue colors to match the vintage feel of the corkscrew and navy blue to represent academia and trust. For Dissertation Demystified the client wanted academia logo but not a stereotypical academia logo like a “book, pen, or graduation cap”. After doing a bit of research I discovered that the magnifying glass and the puzzle piece are also symbols that represent academia. I also used blue, white, and orange to represent academia and at the clients request a nod to the dutch flag.
